    African educators are looking for training materials they can use to develop basic information and communications technology skills - including how to operate a PC, how to use email and the Internet, how to use word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, and how to create websites.
    The London-based Imfundo partnership for IT in education (imfundo.digitalbrain.com) responded by evaluating 15 ICT skills and training packages suitable for educators in Africa. Learningfast?s ICT Skills Benchmark topped the rankings with a score of 91 per cent - well ahead of systems from big names including Intel, the BBC and UNESCO. The ICT Skills Benchmark, developed for the demanding local market, is a certification program that develops and measures skills and competencies against Australian training standards covering essential ICT topics.
    Learningfast already has a strong presence in South Africa (www.za.learningfast.com), Malaysia (www.my.learningfast.com) and the United States (www.us.learningfast.com), as well as throughout Australia. Europe is next: Mercedes-Benz and Chrysler Jeep Dodge, two divisions of DaimlerChrysler Australia, chose Learningfast to provide a training and product knowledge system for their dealer network. Learningfast's solution was a custom-built, dynamic, automated training website which was launched worldwide in Duesseldorf by the Chrysler Jeep Dodge Division.
