ICT Skills Benchmark
The ICT Skills Benchmark program is for anyone who wants to certify their computer skills. ICT Skills Benchmark provides a foundation for the effective use of ICT products and services.
Pre-tests and post-tests are included to identify training needs, recommend an appropriate learning path and assess learning outcomes. Achievement of results over 80% in randomly selected post test questions awards the learner with a Learningfast Completion Certificate.
This Certificate can also be customised to include your logo.
The ICT Skills Benchmark consists of eight competencies:
- Competency 1: Information Technology Concepts
- Competency 2: The functions of a Personal Computer
- Competency 3: The Internet and Networks
- Competency 4: Searching the Internet Effectively
- Competency 5: Word Processing
- Competency 6: Spreadsheets
- Competency 7: Presentations and Drawings
- Competency 8: Databases/Filing Systems
Competency 4 ‘Searching the Internet Effectively’ was written by information professionals. All core MS application training is available in a number of versions and always kept up to date.
Organisations have successfully mandated the completion of the ICT Skills Benchmark certificate to ensure immediate productivity gains are realised.
